ABOUT

IT ALL STARTED IN JUNIOR HIGH
My love of photography started in Junior High with a photography class where I learned how to process film and print in the darkroom. After high school I started my career as a professional photographer.

TEACHING WORKSHOPS AND WRITING BOOKS
I learned a lot of things in the early years that I thought would help people with their photography. I taught photography workshops and wrote a couple of best selling books on photography to help make photography easy to understand.

CREATING WORKSHOPS ON EASYPHOTOCLASS.COM
I created my website EasyPhotoClass.com to make my photography workshops available online. I created workshops on the 3 main areas of Exposure, Camera Settings and How to See Creatively.

WORKSHOPS IN PERSON AND ON PHONE
I also offer workshops one on one in person and for small groups as well as over the phone. These are limited to just a few each month and you can apply by email using the contact form on this website. I also teach Adobe Photoshop and other software.

1. CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY MADE EASY WORKSHOP
My favorite workshop is my Creative Photography Made Easy workshop which helps people learn how to see creatively. Technically correct photos are still boring if they have bad creative choices. This workshop helps people learn how to have fun creating beautiful photographs using different combinations of creative choices.

2. EXPOSURE MADE EASY WORKSHOP
The Exposure Made Easy workshop is for people who want to learn how to stop action, blur backgrounds and take photos in low light. It teaches how shutter speeds, lens openings and ISO settings work plus light metering and other exposure fundamentals.

3. DIGITAL CAMERA SETTINGS MADE EASY WORKSHOP
The Digital Camera Settings Made Easy workshop helps people who want to learn about how to set their digital cameras settings for different photography situations. It helps replace digital camera confusion with digital camera confidence.

CREATIVE FUNDAMENTALS CARDS
The 4 Creative Choice Fundamentals are Composition, Angle, Lighting and Lens with 3 creative choices in each. They are presented visually and a great way to learn how to see creatively by practicing your creative skills. They make a great quick reference as well that can be printed out to carry with you or viewed on your cell phone, tablet or computer.

EXPOSURE SETTINGS FUNDAMENTALS
The Exposure Settings Fundamentals show the Shutter Speed, Lens Opening and ISO settings visually to help explain them with illustrations. They can be downloaded to your computer, cell phone or tablet as well as being printed out to carry in they camera bag or wallet.
These Exposure fundamentals show visually how shutter speeds stop action, lens openings blur or sharpen backgrounds and ISO settings help you take photos in low light.
BONUS:  Learning where the Top 10 settings are located on your digital camera and the buttons and dials you must use to set them is a great way to start learning your digital camera.
How to Reset your camera settings is also included in case you mess them up while learning them. Doing this worksheet is a great idea before attending any photography workshop.

I love photography and hope my workshops and downloads help make photography fun for you and help you take amazing photographs.
